I'm replacing the dead water pump on my 1800ES, and as always I just have to do a little "extra" work at the same time. One reason routine things like this can take me days is that I like to cosmetically restore and rust-prevent the parts which have come off.

Since the fan blade was slightly dinged and much of the paint gone I elected to strip the paint, sandblast and repaint.

I found an excellent match for Volvo's Yellow fan color at the local ACE Hardware in their store brand paint. It is called "John Deere Yellow" and comes in a large spray can of oil based metal paint labeled Rust Stopper.

At $3.99 for the can this seems like a good deal.
