The tailgate on my '87 240 Wagon has rusted through and I would like to replace it with a late model tailgate from a '91-'93 Wagon. The early model tailgates are made from Steel, have trapezoidal shaped glass, a windshield washer squirter off to the side, and look like this: '75-'90 Tailgate. Unexpectedly, I have been asked to drive to Waxhaw, North Carolina for two and a half weeks for a Technical Evaluation and training. I'll be departing this Saturday (Feb. 28th) and returning sometime in mid-March. My trip will take me from Holland, Michigan, 49423, down to Waxhaw, North Carolina, 28173. I'll be leaving Michigan via I-94 and I-69 and the remainder of the trip down to NC will be on I-80 and I-77. However, I am willing to deviate from this trip (either going down or coming back) in pursuit of an affordable late model 240 Wagon hatch.

If you know where I can find a late model wagon hatch in decent/good condition, please post. Also, please include any info available about the location, address, and/or phone number of the salvage yard where it might be found. (if it's a private party or individual owner, please drop me an email by logging into the brickboard and then clicking on either my name or here). I'm willing to drive several hours out of my way if a late model hatch can be found within Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. If more than one response should be posted, I'll call the yards/owners and go with the best option. (so you have info on a hatch and someone has already posted, please post anyways)
