Hello all,
My blower motor quit working with no warning. When I turn on the switch, the fan does not run, but you can hear a heavy current draw pull down the rpm's of the engine. But the fuse does not blow.
This car is a 75, so it has a 3-speed fan switch. Looking at a wiring diagram it does not show a seperate resistor. Is the resistor built into the switch on the older models?
I'm not sure if it's the motor or the switch. Anyone have any advice on how to diagnose this problem? I'm trying to avoid ripping the dash apart for the whole blower motor ordeal.
I think I've found a source for a used 3-speed switch, so maybe I'll start with replacing that.
What do you think?
Thanks,
