was going to replace the mount until i found out i had the wrong one so i've got to put it back together or walk.what i found on the mount was surprising,it is obviously soft but theres a post coming from both sides of the mount and a sort of metal strap that comes off the base and over the posts to restrict movement.what i found was one of the straps bent over not even touching the post therefore causing the mount to move more than it should,i had to drop the cross member and bend it back to get the socket on it.i wonder if this got pushed over due an accident the car had been in before i owned it. i would not have bought this car if i knew of the damage but it very well covered up and after locating the P.O. they were surprising unpleasant so i didn't find out anything about the car except they were very nasty people.it took about 2 months to clean up the interior.i took a chance on it and it's mechanically dependable just needed a lot of detail work. i'm still finding dog food pellets in obscure places. they had a cup holder glued to dash that frequently spilled onto and around the shifter causing a sort of goo on everything.like i said i took a chance.i've brought several previous cars back to a productive life.that's how i get my deals.
