Hi All,
I've been having some ignition problems lately on my 1982 244 B21F-MPG (Chrysler white cap ignition) where the engine has been missing while the tach jumps about. Already replaced the coil, cap, rotor and hall effect sensor. Was going to replace the plugs and ignition wires, and am in somewhat of a quandry:
The manual calls out a resistor plug "Bosch WR7DS" for the B21F and a nonresistor plug for the B21A and B23E. I ran across some posts about Volvo OEM wire sets having a low resistance, and requiring a resistor plug for EMI performance. Seems like my problems began after I changed plug and wires at my last big tuneup (a few years ago?)
So my question is whether aftermarket wire sets like Bosch or Bougicord are already "high resistence" and would require a low resistance plug like a W7DC?
Thanks in advance!
Greg
