Need B30 camshaft information, please. 140-160

Hi. I'm trying to find some B30 camshaft information. I need to find out what the original or factory camshaft designation was for my car.

I have a U.S.A.-version, 1975 164, with automatic transmission and (of course) D-Jet fuel injection. This is a '49-state' or 'non-California' car (i.e., no catalytic converter, or leaded-gas restrictor in the filler). Chassis no. is 151787.

My Volvo 'green book' factory service manual indicates that I should have a cam marked "C".

The problem is that when I discussed selecting a replacement cam, the vendor said that when he looked it up, he saw in his books (for the B20, since he doesn't have anything for the B30) that for the B20 engines the C cam was in the carbed engines only and the D or K cam was in the injected cars. So he's concerned that maybe my information is wrong.

And the reason for his concern, he told me, was "...[if you're keeping] the D Jet, you need to keep the cam type that came with it. That is the only cam that the Djet ECU is programmed to provide the proper fuel for. Otherwise you are going to run into the same problems as those who modify B20s with D jet...."

Clearly, then, I need to be correct in my choice of cam. And I don't have my engine torn down to see for myself (to see the mark on the cam with my own eyes) -- I wasn't planning to do this for a couple of more months, but I want to have the new cam in my hands ahead of time, as once I open the engine, I don't want to be held up reassembling it by waiting for a special ordered part.

So, does anyone have any knowledge or experience to confirm which cam I should have in my engine?

Thanks very much, in advance.
