I'm trying to swap the cruise control from
my '92 940 turbo into a recently acquired
'91 740 turbo. Everything was going smoothly
until I realized that while the 740 is as
described in the FAQs here, the 940 CPU
had only the multi wire connector, while the
740 has the multi-wire and single wire connector.
Since the CPU is frorm the 940, I don't have any place
to plug in the extra little wire. Do I need to get another
CPU? Or can I just ignore the single wire? It's a yellow
wire so it's probably the pick-up from the speedo.
Also, I can't get the bracket out of the 940 that the
cpu was attached to, There shouldn't be a problem relocating
the cpu onto the support where the clutch might be if I had one?
Just keep it upright, no?
Thanks
