Hi all, My 1988 8-valve non-rurbo won't run, and I have pretty much isolated the problem to fuel supply rather than spark. Switched the pump relay, fuses, radio suppression relay, AFM, dist. cap, and power stage, which made no difference. Ween you loosen the fuel line connection on the fuel rail, there is no pressure UNTIL you start cranking the engine and then there is pressure. It stops immedialtely when you stop crakning. The car will actually run a bit if you keep the starter engaged, but quits as soon as the key is mover to ON position. Can't hear either of the pumps running when key is turned on. Does this sound like a pump problem, and if so, which one?? Or could it be an ECU problem, i.e., pumps are not getting the right instructions from the ECU??? Thanks for the help.
