brake caliper bleed screw 200

hi,

i was attempting to bleed my brakes yesterday and i either did something wrong or found the problem for why my brakes don't work.

i was checking the brake caliper bleeder screw on the front left when i discovered that the screw was acting like it was threaded. the thing turned and would not tighten or would not loosen all the way out for me to get a replacement. so i think i need a new caliper bleed screw +/- a rebored thread on the caliper ($15 aussie dollars). my question is has anybody had this happen to them before and if so what path did they take - 1) remove screw - how? 2) remove caliper - then replace caliper?

any help would be much appreciated.
