760 Rear Axel swap 700 1989

3/13/04 I have a'89 760T with independent rear suspensions and an automatic transmission and self leveling rear shocks. The vehicle seems ride to be light and twitchy. I had all of the front and rear suspension bushings replaced and installed 4 new Dunlop Sport A2 tires. Is this characteristic common to the 760 with the independent rear suspension? Is it feasible to replace the rear suspension with the standard rear axel? What are the considerations? Would the axle have to be replaced or adjusted? Standard shocks woudl be less expensive to replace vs the self leveling type. Has anyone done the swap? Thank you.
