Tailight removal / how to open door with suspect handle mechanism / rear taillight bulb blowing 700

Issue 1: Suddenly, the right rear door on the passenger side of my 86 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon will not open. It feels like the handle hatch/unhatch mechanism has simply come "loose" inside, meaning there's no feeling of disengaging the lock when you press it (up) to open the door. Does anyone know of a way outside of going through the door panel that the door could be opened/repaired?

Issue 2: Also, my left taillight has blown two bulbs today. The other bulbs (backup/foglight/turn-signal) are fine.

Issue 3: I want to change the right rear lens with a fresher light, but I cannot seem to find a socket size that will fit those weird screws that secure the housing. Any tips on how to get those bottom two screws out, or what attachment/tool would make it easier than it was today. No progress today. Brand new lens and can't get the old one out...

P.S. This is a great board with some really knowledgeable people. I am humbled to make yall's acquaintance.
