240 dash cracking/solutions 200

My 1988 240 has always had 2 very small cracks in the invisable part of the dash. Now all of the sudden I have a huge crack across the top, across from the stering wheel. I can get a good used dash for about $90.00 from my local pick and pull. I'm not shure if it would be worth my effort, in fear of a new dash cracking just like my old one. But maybe not. I have previously removed the cluster, stereo, glove box, and switch console where the heater controls are before. How much more work would it be beyond this to replace the whole dash? Is it hard to get it to sit level?

Thanks and Happy Bricking!
