overload springs ? 200

hi there i was going to order overload springs for the 87 245. then yesterday i recieved the i.p.d. newsletter and read about the adjustable panhard rod. used to keep the rear end centered. i understand the concept but not having that much dough to add the panhard rod, will i be looking for problems or is this overkill? my brain says buy all upgrades but my wallet wont let me. :>
