Alternator wires 200 1984

This is the first time I have worked on my car. I think I got the new alternator back in correctly and the tension seems to be right.
BUT...I don't remember which wires go where? There are 2 thicker wires. One is grounded. The other is a thick red one and then there is a thinner red one.
Can anyone help me figure out which goes where. This is a 1984 240 GL.
