I've tried 3 different AMM, 3 different idle control motors, I've changed out the ECU, I've cleaned out the throttle body and readjusted the IPS. I've redone all the vacuum hoses. I've installed a good Ignition control module (burned out the original one) . Even replaced the distributor with one in better condition.
Now I read in the "Volvo Problem Solver" that 83-84 had a flat spot due to the check valve installed onto the fuel pressure regulator. Our 83 never had a check valve(from the FPR to the intake manifold). Could this be the problem's solution?
Should I try another FPR?
I also plan to READJUST the AMM as per instructions in the RNG Volvo problem solver. Should I make the car run lean or rich?
Gracias,
