I recently replaced the rear springs on my 1986 240 sedan with 283K miles with some springs from an '84 wagon. I figured to get my rear end height back to new stock, better to spend $20 on used wagon springs than $100 for new sedan springs...the stance is great. The ride is a little more harsh than I thought it would be esp over railroad tracks and speed bumps, etc. Is this to be expected? Anyway, while I was under the back installing the springs, I noticed the panhard rod bushings were rotted. I had replaced my rear trailing rod bushings last year but didn't notice the panhard bushings. Are these pressed out and back in like all the other bushings or is there some way I can do it myself. I'm pretty handy if it means I can save a buck or two and get some cuts and scrapes in the process. Also, do I just remove the entire track rod remove/replace the bushings and bolt it back in....is it that simple...??
