question about removal of O/D screen filter

hey all,

I've been reading up on the removal of these OD mesh filters and i'm wondering how easy is it to remove and clean this bit of hardware? Is the removal of the filter any harder than it looks on the outside(bunch of simple nuts to remove). Any thing to look out for?
