86 740 wagon -- rear passenger taillight lens removal 700

Bought a lens replacement for the right taillight. Manual says that it needs a 10mm socket but this thing seems to be stripped (either that or the socket is mislabeled). Anybody got any tips on removing those nuts. They're really not that accessible when you have big hands, and the ones at the bottom are particularly difficult to get at. I saturated the nuts with WD-40 and they still don't budge, and I don't want to break off the lugs.
