Add turbo to 240?

Can I add a turbo to my non-turbo 1988 240? Runs great, great body on it, a 5 speed wagon. I see a lot of the parts-turbo manifolds, intercoolers, hoses, etc, as well as turbo units, on eBay. Does the computer I have limit it? If I added one, I'd want to run at a high enough boost to feel a real difference.
