Last month, I installed a pair of ProSlop^H^H^H^HStop front brake
pads from PepBoys in my car. Yesterday, when I changed to summer
tires I noticed that all four front pads were cracked rather
seriously. They were also mostly seized in the guides despite
my use of silicone brake grease on all sliding surfaces. I put in
a set of dealer pads, and they seemed to fit much less tightly, which
I imagine will make them less likely to seize.
I went back to PepBoys to ask for a refund. They refused to give me
one, but they gave me an exchange set of ProSlop pads. Anyone want
them? I'm not using ProSlop in my car again...
