Want to share the nice results I got refurbishing a vintage '92 taillight. The top red lens was faded and chalky-looking. The lower red lens had a large hole that I had recently repaired with epoxy (placed tape inside the lens, then layered on epoxy, conforming to the curved shape of the lens, then removed tape):

Today I pulled the light and hit the red lenses with Testors #1605 - Transparent Candy Apple Red spray enamel... now looks sooo much better:

No idea how long this will last before I have to spray it again, but I'm getting pretty slick at R&R'ing the unit, and there's plenty of paint left in that little ($3) can! Props to Kane and others who have posted good tips on this.
