anti-roll bar link (sway bar link) 900 1995

I bought this 95' 960 a couple months ago and it has a rattle that happens over bumps at low speeds. I think it is the anti-roll bar link (or also known as the sway bar link) on the front left side. It connects the anti-roll bar to the strut.
I have never worked on any part a car's suspension before and need a little guidance.
When I grab hold the link and shake it there is a slight radial movement in the upper end of it. (the right side link doesn't have any movement.)
Can I just remove the nuts with a ratchet and remove the link and either replace the entire piece or just replace the rubber bearings? Is it that simple with plain ol' hand tools or do I need something special?
Sorry for the stupid question but I this board has given me a lot of courage to try repairing things on my own that I usually would have taken to the shop.
