passenger rear door won't lock 200 1989

Hi everyone, I just bought a 1989 240 gl on ebay. Sounds crazy, but the car runs really great so far. Only a few cosmetic problems. One of them is that I can't seem to get the door lock on the passenger side rear door to lock either manually or with the automatic locking system. When I push the lock down, it just pops back up. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
