1979 262c,

I just replaced the plugs and wires and the darnest thing happened...I have no power...the engine seems to be building back-pressure maybe...as I accelerate the car crackles in the exhaust and it is gutless.

this was worse before I did an adjust to the fuel mixture screw, 5 degrees (maxium) counter clockwise. before I did this, it more or less backfired constantly.

how did this come to be?

plugs are at .030, bosch wires, distributor cap is 1-2 months old, rotor also.

help meeeeeeee
