Hello again,
I would like to replace my timing belt asap, whereas it has about 88,000 miles on it. My seals are fine and the belt itself is ok, no splits and or cracks etc. I was just wondering could i just physically cut the belt upon marking its position for the new install. The new belt that i currently have is a TRW with pre-marked lines (fcpgroton.com). Upon cutting off the old belt could i simply just slip the new one on, of course with some resistance? Please all responses are welcomed! I am looking for the most easiest/fastest method. 740 gle non-turbo 414,000 miles (excellent condition/premium fuels/lubricants/parts).
