Locked in PARK 200 1992

I have a problem in the morning getting the shift lever out of PARK. I must pump the brakes before it will go into gear. It only happen after being parked over night. After I get it in gear the first time, it will work fine all day. My "fix" has been to leave it in neutral when I park it at the end of the day. Any ideas?
