Good/easy location to get switched (position II) power on '92 960 900

I want to install a small electric fan in front of my auxilary tranny cooler and need an easy place to pick up switched power. It seems like position II ("On" position) power leads are scarce. I'm trying to not dig into the loom under the dash and would prefer a location under the hood somewhere. I'm going to run the fan off a relay, so the lead only needs to support switching on the relay. My original thought was to run the relay off the small red wire to the alternator but then realized power runs through the instrument cluster and so wouldn't be a suitable source.
