More M47 Woes 200

Thanks again for all of the advice. I wish I lived in an area with LOTS of Volvo 200 & 700 Series Drivers. There are actually very few in my city. I wish it were as easy as going to a pick & pull. There is one salvage yard that has a decent selection of Volvos. Mostly 700 and a few 200 series. A few weeks ago at the local Volvo dealership (they gave me the service for free) - I had to show the mechanic how to do the work and help him out.

I am not trying to bash on anybody, but I live in a "non-volvo" community.

My local dealership does not even carry Thermostats for these cars. Everything I go to get part numbers for (I buy from someone else) they have to order. Parts are VERY hard to come by in this city.

If anyone lives in the Southwest, I would be more than happy to purchase a good/used M47 - pay shipping/freight and install the tranny myself.

There are a few decent transmission shops around but not many have even worked on a 240. If I were allowed to help with the work I would be glad to, but they will not let me back in the "shop area".

It is a VERY frustrating situation but it is where I live.

Please contact me if you have a good/used M47 for sale.

P.S. Thanks for listening to my pitiful complaints.

Todd :-)
