AW30-40 trans. vent question 900

Does anyone know for sure if the AW30-40 trans. in the 960/90 series Volvos actually have a vent? I have the green book and cannot find or even see mention of a vent. I've been under a couple of these and changed out the PNP sensors and never saw a vent. The top of the case appears solid. Could the vent be on the front of the case behind the torque convertor to keep it out of harms way (road splash etc...).
