Radiatior fan running all the time.. why? 900

Two days ago, my 93' 960 began to allow the rediator fan to run continually. I noticed this after going out to my car 3 hours after I got home. I tried to crank the engine but the battery had been drained too much to crank.

I disconnected the battery, charged it overnight and the fan still continues to run if I connect the battery cable.

What should I check for & how?
