82 240 GL Oil Pump HELP 200

I pulled my oil pan and oil pump and when i was reinstalling the oil pump the pipe that runs down next to pump was brittle and broke @ rim. I cant see exactly where the rest of the pipe goes up into the engine. What can i do to fix this?
