Battery drained -- don't know why 200 1989

Drove off today and was not able to start the car after turning it off. Engine would not crank, only thing I heard was a "click". As I was on an incline, I let the car go down in 2nd gear and jump started the car that way. Later on, after stopping the car, tried to start again, same thing. This time I got a jump start from another car. I drove a good thirty minutes hoping to recharge the battery. Indeed the car started on the first turn of the key. So out again I went for a short trip, and the car does not want to start again. I only hear a click.

Is something draining my battery?

Before I buy a new battery, I want to make sure that indeed the battery is at fault.

Thanks.
