I've finally succeeded in replacing all of my rear suspension
bushings. The rear trailing arm bushings are poly, as are the
torque rod bushings. The front TABs and Panhard rod bushings are
the stock rubber items.
I had a problem with MTC-Scantech bushings from FCP Groton not
fitting my Panhard rod. It turns out that the rod was fine - when
I bought Boge bushings from Frank's Foreign Auto, they fit flawlessly
without spinning (and seemed to be of heavier duty design). The
SpamTech bushings will be on their way back to FCP Groton shortly.
The suspension is very quiet, the car feels much "tighter" than
before, and the rear end no longer feels like it's stepping sideways
over bumps. Nice. I also changed the rear axle oil since I was
under there already - the old oil was black and icky, but it didn't
have a lot of metal particles in it, which I suppose is a good thing.
Yay!
