I was installing a keyless entry system and got confused. I removed the small actuator,rod and "ring" that surrounds the lock. Installed a new rod door lock motor and all wiring,tapped into rear door. I could not get the thing to work. I think I figured it out now. I should have left everything as is and just add the door motor and tap into the 3 wire harness of the actuator,yes? So now I am trying to put it all back to original and I cannot get the locks to lock and unlock with the key or with the original rod. Also I cannot reattach the "ring" onto the lock. What should I try next? TIA
