Burning out trailing arm bushings? 200 1989

Let me get this straight. I have 3 choices for new trailing arm bushings:
1) I can buy a TAB tool from IPD to use twice, then spend hours under the car removing and re-installing
2) I can spend days fabricating a tool for myself, then spend hours under the car removing and re-installing,
3) I can burn out the old bushings with a propane torch, clean out the bushing housing, and just press in new polyurethane bushings myself?

I understand the poly bushings give a firmer ride, but for all the time and effort saved, it seems to me like poly is the way to go for the trailing arm.

Am I missing something?

Bosozoku, I believe you burned yours out and put in poly. How do like the new ride? Comments on the burning procedure?

Thanks,
Mark
