Corrosion on block behind pump 900 1991

I found this bit of corrosion on the block behind the water pump. It was there about 20 months ago when I changed the water pump. I've just changed the seals due to a leak (see other post) and it doesn't appear to have gotten any worse. Should I be concerned about it? Is there anything I could do about it?
