What fuse should I wire my + on the small tach to? 200

I'm putting a small tach in my 88 240, From what I have heard I could either put the plus power to fuse 5 or 12. Which would be my best option? Is there an easy way to get a wire to connect to the back of the fuse box? Is this safe? (most importantly) Any precautions?
