Hi all, I usually am hanging out in the 700 forum but I see a couple of familiar faces here...
Local Guy is selling an 88 245 NA, 17X,XXX miles, asking $300.
The car is in kind of rough shape, although it could probably be put back together. Body is solid with some rust at the bottom door seams inside and a couple minor patches here and there, and the bottom of the rear hatch is gone, although I wouldn't classify the car as really rusty. Rear bumper is gone. Engine (B230F) is a little noisy at startup but quietens down when warmed up. 5-speed manual tranny and clutch seem to be in good shape, and brakes seem acceptable. The exhaust needs major work and there is a hole in one of the power steering hoses. Interior is good, but the driver's seat is kind of trashed, the dash is starting to crack and there is one cigarette burn in the front passenger seat. Rubber is typical for a car in this condition. Couldn't get the a/c to work.
This would be a great project car for someone, or for parts. It starts right up and drives pretty well; I'd kind of like to play with it but I have enough projects going at the moment. Thought one of you might be interested, I'd hate to see the thing go to waste at the hands of the locals or at the demolotion derby...
