Windshield chrome trim '70 145 140-160

The bottom clips that hold the chrome windshield surround have rusted away on my '70 145.
These don't look like they can be replaced.
Any ideas or methods on how to affix the trim back onto the car without using the clips?
I was thinking screws through the trim but ugh! that would look terrible.
