I have a 1983 244T that did not come equiped with a power trunk release. I installed a trunk release motor from an early model 240 that I salvaged from a local yard. After wiring the motor and trunk release button it seems that there should be some type of relay or control to allow the motor to make the proper revolution. My motor turns for as long as the trunk release button is pushed. This will allow the trunk release to open the trunk ,but doesn't set the trunk lock back to the locked position. Also I am wondering if a motor from a late model 240 would allow my trunk to properly unlock and lock.
