760 TURBO Smog Help! 700 1988

My new aquisision 760T/1988 failed smog.
(1)Ignition timing check fail-RPM out of tolerance.(Readings: 15MPH-1544,
25MPH-1484. Max allowed relatively 791 and 730)
(2)Thermostatic Air Cleaner- Fail
(3) Vacume line sensores/Switches-Disconected

I had worked on my 740GL 1990 and had electric trubles, tranny and so forth but this is some thing totaly different. I have no clue what so ever.

On the other hand this car gives up a loud noise when shifting and shifting makes the differencial go up and down. I know that but machanic said thats normal. It can't be since my 740/1990 shiftes very smooth. Please help me, I love volvo's and that is why I bought this. Jay
