What are symptoms of a bad steering rack? 200

There is a heavey clunk made when i turn the wheel. When the front end is off the ground it squeaks a little. When driving it makes the symptom of bad a arm bushings but I can feel it in the steering wheel. And its getting progressivly worse, to the point of being scary to drive. At first I thought it was a bad rod end but now Im thinking its something in the steering rack. ??? Could it be something in power steering? Im at a loss?
Any ideas would be great!
