Door that covers Gas cap 900

Hi everyone, Just today the wife went out to fill the car with gas and apparently had a run in with the Gas nozzle..... the gas nozzle won and somehow knocked off the spring loaded door cover. It's late and dark out and I don't have a clue as to how it fits back on. Are there any other parts involved?? all I have is the cover with a double spring loaded clip attached.

any comments including puns accetped.
