I think that I want't to go ahead and make the move and install the power window system on my brick. I have a few resulting questions though. What is the best year to get the moters and swithches from. Could I say get the moters from and 83 and switches from a 93 and Vice a versa. I think that I did hear that the pre 86 had more metal verses platic in the window moters. If, I just wanted to do the front doors, and have the swithces in the dash, would I be useing the same moter? Can I fasten power window armrest to my manual window door panels with just two screws or would that be bad. I guess it would be most logical to swap in the power window doorpanel and armrest setup, but that does not match my tricot interior. many not be a big deal. If I wanted to replace the door panels I could use either 84 gl black Velor door panels or 93 Black tweed. What holds up better? How can one tell a good moter from a bad? I have never seen that 260 center console mount for all four swithes. That sounds pretty cool, What years had those? What about relays? Where are they and what color are they? Any other advice. This sounds like a job that I sould buget one of those three day weekends for.
