haven't posted in forever.

after having just gone thru all the switches to get them all working nicely again, suddenly 2 or 3 weeks later my windows do nothing now. driver's side is stuck half way down, it's gonna rain the next two days in CT ... you get my predicament.

10 and 12 fuses are intact. i'm guessing that the wiring did not suddenly deteriorate so i'm thinking relay. B.C.'s conveniently timed post on adding power windows refers to the area behind the blower vents as the location of this relay. since the Bentley diagram is not great for 83-85 and makes it look like i can get at this area on my 83 turbowagon from behind the glovebox, i was hoping someone here could let me know if i do need to take off the blower vents to get at my relay and which pieces of trim need to come off. also, which posts should i jumper to see if the culprit is in fact the relay. i'm not experienced w/ electrical.
