My 960 wagon now has about 115 miles on it and last Wednesday when I left work I noticed a small stain under my car. Closer inspedtion showed it to be oil that had dripped off the bottom of my oil pan and the cross brace just behind it. I drove the car up on my ramps when I parked it in the garage at home. After supper I crawled under hoping the drain plug was loose. No Luck!
It seemed to be comming out of the slot under the torque converter. Just to be sure I wiped everything clean and looked at the back of the engine higher up with a strong light to make sure it wasn't coming down from a leaking cam seal or ?????
After a while more oil leaked out of the slot so that I could tell it was for sure comming out of the engine's rear end.
How many of you have had to repalce a rear main seal? I've got a good independent repair shop willing to do the job for $375 parts included.
