740 Rear Mudflaps onto a 940 900

Dear Fellow Brickboarders,

Good p.m. and may this find you well. Has anyone installed 740 rear mudflaps on a 940 wagon). If so, could you please tell me - in detail - how to do this? The instruction that came with the flaps are not helpful.

Is the end of the bumper cover shaped differently on the 740 than the 940? If so, that may explain why the mud flaps don't seem to fit.

Thanks for any help you can give. I appreciate it.
