Recently ignored a mechanic's advice to replace right front caliper as it was binding. He had replaced pads (but didn't call me when job was in progress). I heard some squeaking as I drove and 4 months later I was through pad and scoring rotor. My two front rotors are aproximately 1.5 year old ATE Power Discs. The right front rotor is noticeably scored as I had metal to metal contact for about one day of driving. Should I replace only front right rotor and caliper or both rotors and caliper??????? And I hate to ask the turning rotor question as most seem to say toss and buy fresh...and I'm not sure powerdiscs can be turned with grooves cut in them...and I'd do only one. My preference would be to buy one fresh powerdisc (so I have a matched set) and replace only the right one. Also can I simply try leaving rotor with the scoring and using it as is??????
