Cant get tranny in last 0.5' pleez help 200 1982

Throwing in trans after seal replacement and i can not get it flush w/ engine to bolt it back up. Nothing is blocking or hindering it, i just cant seem to get it on the line pins on the engine. It hits the pins but wont slide on to them. PLeez PLeez help me w/ any and all suggestions.
