Well Folks - I didin't think this would happen but I just bought my daugher (16 on April 22nd) a '93 240. She came unglued when we brought her outside to see it for the first time this evening. It was truly a fun evening seeing my only child react. The 240 came from a local couple in their mid 70's that traded the 240 and a 2000 S60 for a new 2004 S60. They were reducing to 1 car in their old age. I had the opportunity to speak with them and they told me the odometer quit working at 97,318 miles. That was 5 months ago and they only drove it about 500 miles since. They have all the services records to substantiate their claim. The care is truly immaculate, and I only had to give $3,200 for it. The dealer had to sell as true mileage unknown, but who cares with the records that I was provided.
Question is have any of you ever replaced an odometer gear purchased from odometrgears.com? The gear is only 26 bucks and the instructions look relatively simple. Any comments would be welcom. WOOOOt! to RWD Volovs owners and their classics. By the way, this is the car my kid wanted. She loves her mom's Volvo.
Thanks.
